I have just watched Alexandra Burke ( does anyone remember her )on BBC's The one show rambling on about how upset she was when she first heard that she would have to sing Hallelujah in the XFactor final and " wept buckets of tears" before she had this amazing idea of "Witneying " it up a bit to make it acceptable . Needless to say our new television is on order the old one will not work now it has a brick through the screen

If you want me to send you some funds to pay for the brick, just send me a pm

Personally, as an environmentally conscious person, I am all for recycling. So how about re-using that brick - and flinging it through Alexandra Burke's living-room window?! I will gladly pay for the damage afterwards, but of course, I will also accept some extra funds, Maarten, if you want to support me there...

I would love to recycle the brick but unfortunately it's "lost in that hopeless little screen "

Ok, let us be bold then: Let us build a catapult and hurl brick, screen and television altogether... Might also qualify beautifully as an act of performance art, the underlying message obviously being media criticism!

I don't think the recipient of the afore mentioned goods would know much about " performance" or " art" but I am off to my garden shed with hammer and nails anyway

"She may not know a thing 'bout art, but maybe she'll take this to heart - to leave alone that great song 'Hallelujah''"! So, go ahead, liptrot...

I weep buckets every time I think of her murdering that beautiful song... *sigh*

I've yet to hear her version. I count myself a very fortunate man.

It was bad enough hearing her wreck the song last Christmas without having her trashing it now

Parsifal, you are indeed a lucky person not to have heard it - I sat though all three terrible versions on the X Factor final before vowing to avoid the winning song for ever more - luckily since then I've not heard more than the opening bars before swiftly changing radio stations, or even exiting the room
And she shouldn't pretend that she did anything other than sing it exactly like the Prince of Darkness (Simon Cowell) told her to...

How did the interviewer reply when she make that stupid remark?. Glad I did not see it. Only ever heard her version once anyway and did not like what she did with it.
A beautiful song being yelled out and ruined.
These sort of people think they are above everyone, when they are just shallow and unimportant.

Why on earth are we even bothering to talk about Alexandra Burke?

Absolutely right ! As I was the one who gave her the attention on the forum that she thoroughly does not deserve I think it is only fitting that I bring this thread to an end . Subject closed !
