Notes from the Road: following the 2010 tour on tumblr/twitt

Various postings have led me indirectly to these flickr alternatives:

a. the photo diary at http://leonardcohen.tumblr.com/

b. and derived from that a twitter feed at http://twitter.com/LC_tour_notes - this only has 4 followers so far including me ,so maybe others into twitter would be interested also

Behind "Notes from the Road" is the road manager Joseph Carenza, previously he had photos on flickr. He announced this new tour tumbl/twitter yesterday on the Facebook, I got it via Marie Mazur's speakingcohen Facebook page.

First photos from Zagreb are up!

On flickr, he used cell phone camera if I remember well... But these new tumblr site has photos with a distinctive old-fashion feeling, like lomography or analogue camera, I really wonder what he's using now... And it's a shame there's no option for comments! I'll tell that to Mr. Carenza if I bump into him these days... After all, he's taking photos of my neighborhood:)

I believe he is still using a state of the art cell phone to take the photos. I checked a few of his recent shots at random on his base album on flickr. They all bear the tag "iphone".



Perhaps he applies the special effects when he transfers the image files from his iphone.

Yes, agree with Arlene...Joey still uses his faithful iPhone for photos! Definitely modern, state-of-the-art! One can only wonder what he could do if let loose with top-of-the-line photographic equipment. It would be exquisite, but somehow I love the "edge" that the iPhone gives....er, correction...the "edge" that he creates with the iPhone! Truly a master!

It does look like redscale lomo analogue camera, but of course it has to be digital as he uploads it as he walks through the city. iPhone has some kind of software for interventions in the photos?

I googled: LOMO camera iPhone application is easily available for 3 dollars, for your iPhone, so I guess that's my answer... I adore that distinctive lomo-look of the photographs.
