Just when you think you’re immune.

Just when you think you’re immune.

You fill my mind, you fill my heart,
You are the reason that I breathe.
You give me strength, you give me hope,
You give me something to believe.

You touch my soul, you make me feel,
You taught me how to love once more.
You show me that true love is real,
A love that I’ve not had before.

I can’t believe that you are real,
I can’t believe I feel your touch.
I can’t believe I gave my heart,
I can’t believe I love that much.

I give my love, I give my soul;
I give my hopes, I give my dreams.
You wrap them up in thoughts of love
And give them back to me in reams.

I trust your judgement and your words.
I trust the loving things you say.
I trust the way you say you feel,
I trust you more each passing day!

I don’t know how long this will last,
I don’t know how long you will stay.
I don’t know how long you will feel
The way you feel for me today?

But I can tell you from my heart,
And I’ll assure you this is true,
I’ve never felt a love like this,
And all this love, I feel for you! …

Just adding this song suggested by lonndubh, i agree it's a good companion for the poem...
It's called 'I Got A Winner In You'

That was a very moving poem, Karren. Thank you for sharing. I would like to have written more, but have to meet two exceptionally nice women.

Lucky? Never trust them! It's a snare, a woman's textbook way of booby-trapping any passing fool. Sweeten him up with a soft surrendering personality, then after she's got her claws in the poor bugger and starts making his life Hell does the prize idiot wake up and realise that there's no way out, that his carefree days of cordiality and harmony are over. He's finished.
Geoffrey - these sound like exceptionally nasty women to me :(

They were both quite cool, actually. But let us concentrate on the warmth of Karren's beautiful poem.

I read the posts too well done lonndubh!
Like you I thought he was stirring things up so I refrained from posting a reply. I do hope he did have a good time with the two ladies and that they didn't claw him too hard!

Karren B I'm so happy for you I have a feeling you've been through some tough times,so I wish you all the best!

Hi Karren
It looks as if you have taken the advice of number 4 when I read your poem but always remember number 6 and that poems are our fantasies not real life .
Loved the poem btw !

Just corrected a small spelling mistake in the one and a minor grammatical error in the other. No big deal, so I hope no one is going to start stirring things up. It's difficult to trust anybody; at times there are some real unstable characters in here. Let's try and keep things pleasant.
