I have opened this thread for anyone who wishes to speak their feelings ( all feelings acceptable ) about OUR Leonard Cohen.
Sadly, I am not good with cameras and video, so I must choose words....and I welcome sharing words about this experience with
others..........I am still one hugh bundle of emotions and need to sort out a bit before I make much sense of my words.........Jeanne

Going into the arena on Saturday, I really felt as if I would be devoured by the lions of sadness..With the first notes, the tears began, the ache hurt so, that I thought I would not be able to stand it; but of course I did.....To me, everything I saw and heard coming from Leonard and Friends on stage, was a perfection..taking me out of this unmagical place ( Leonard's word ) to visit, for a time, Leonard's world, which is where the magic is.
When intermission came we put the roses on the stage and the group began to sing Passing Through ( not sure of title ), that was the beginning of a different feeling. I was actually singing to Leonard ! Imagine, me singing to Him....what a joy and I knew he could hear us and understand all that we were feeling! I am not sure whom to credit for arranging this extraordinary gesture but thank you a million times for these moments.....
On the way back to my seat, after singing to Leonard, I met the young woman that ran to the stage and embraced Leonard....I touched her shoulder and she whispered
something about her father and Leonard, and was unable to stop herself from running and embracing him. I told her that she did what every person in this audience wished they had the courage to do.
After that, I was in Leonard's world for the rest of the concert.....I could list and disect and specify etc. about the performance....but the truth is, to me, it was actually the witnessing and participating in the miracle. The miracle that this man creates with his words and music will be with me forever....As I left the arena, I felt a gentle sadness, not the devastation I feared....somehow he worked that miracle also.......As he so often bowed to us, I bow to him with a heart that is full of gratitude for what he has given us..................jeanne

I could fill endless pages with words about where my forty year odyssey with Leonard's work has taken me...but that would bore most..
I must say though, that leading me to you and all the others in this forum world, has been a joy; a gift I did not expect; one so deeply appreciated and

I am still processing my thoughts after the most amazing weekend of my life. I'm so grateful I got the chance to thank Leonard in person and I'll say there what I said to him. "Leonard thank you for everything your music caresses my soul" I'll add some more in a couple of days when the tears stop flowing. Have being very emotional since leaving Las Vegas. Anne, I also have one of the photobooks. They are beautiful.

I found the hand at an antique market on Thanksgiving Day--I'd been searching the markets ever since my first visit to Hydra in '09.
I also finally found a hand door-knocker the same day, which I will give to my daughter as a wedding present (shh...that's a secret...but she is not a member of the forum so hopefully it is safe...)
