Interesting, my guess is that HyperCastGirl is an employee of Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
Her YouTube profile states that she is from Canada, she has a Vancouver time lapse video in her YouTube favorites, and about a year ago she posted videos of the A.K.A.s on stage, they performed at Rogers Arena around that time.
Can anyone confirm that the videos look like the green room at Rogers Arena? (black screens for walls, crumbling acoustic ceilings?)

Good analysis, Avi. I am betting it is Vancouver too, but I think that the greenroom curtains traveled with UHTC from venue to venue.

Looks like they tried to create a sameness to the greenrooms everywhere...part of maintaining the relaxed pre-show environment I guess.

As fun as it was to see these vids (in a fly-on-the-wall way), I'm pretty sure the terms of Hypercastgirl's employment at Rogers Arena -if that is indeed her employer- specify NOT to do this kind of thing under any circumstances.

It was thrilling to hear LC chant the three blessings over the candle lighting on the first night of Hanukah.
The first two blessings are chanted every night of Hanukah when lighting the candles.
The third blessing, the shehecheyanu, is only chanted on the first night.

First Blessing
Baruch ata Adonai, Elohenu melech ha-olam
asher kideshanu be-mitzvotav, ve-tzivanu le-hadlik
ner shel Hanukah.

Blessed are you, Lord our G-d, King of the Universe, Who sanctified us by his commandments, and has commanded us to kindle the lights of Hanukah.

Second Blessing
Baruch ata Adonai, Elohenu melech ha-olam
she-asa nisim la-avotenu ba-yamim ha-hem
ba-zeman ha-zeh.

This goes very well with the Rogers Arena theory (the UHTC was at Rogers on the second night of Hanukkah, perhaps they did not get to light candles on the first night which would explain why Leonard recited the third blessing)

Looks like you might be right, Avi. This is from Joey's Notes at the venue in Vancouver. Not easy to see but the background with the black curtains and even the table with the water looks the same.

Sounds to me like an invasion of privacy...... Green Rooms are cozy corners, insulated from the real world, for quiet moments to collect and sustain momentary peace before the technicolor of performance. Never for gawkers!

That was my first reaction too, but then you see Leonard raising his cup/glass to the camera. Wonder what he was thinking, surely not that it would appear on YouTube!
Still don't understand the people who spell God as G-D, if Leonard can utter the word..............???

@ Anne, according to Jewish custom, you do not write out G-d's name in full because if you do, that piece of paper becomes holy and cannot be thrown in the trash (there is a specific way 'holy' papers are destroyed). So many of us don't do it, not because we feel it's wrong, but because it has been hammered into our heads from childhood. HTH
