Thanks for all the hard work. I will be staying in Yeats country hotel, Rosses Point - do u know how far this is from Lissadell? And also will there be a bus running from the hotel to lissadell and back. Not familiar with the area at all. Any help would be great, thanks.

I have never been to Ireland before and do not want to drive. I plan to take a train to Sligo but would love to book a 2-3 day tour of sights around Sligo. I could not find info on any organized tours. From what I read it is a beautiful part of the country. Do you know of any tours being planned. Thanks in advance - Cari in Portland, Oregon
So, does that mean that as I am not a Forum "old-timer" or first time visitor to Ireland, I will not be allowed in the The Library Bar? How will these people be identified at the door?carlowmike wrote:tours around the Sligo area

IRemember The Library Bar in the Garavouge is reserved for Forum "old-timers" and first-time visitors to Ireland ,

Whilst I know that a lot of people are excited about the Sligo concerts and planning a holiday around them, last time I looked this was a Leonard Cohen forum, not an Ireland or Sligo tourism site. All this information is readily available courtesy of tourism organisations and Google. Please can we strike a balance and keep the details down to information related to the the LC concerts and cut back on tours available, emergency dentists and doctors etc. People may have asked by e-mail for the information but that does not mean to say that the answers all have to be posted on a Leonard Cohen forum.carlowmike wrote:many members are enquiring about tours ,
may be worthwhile repeating this info.
Carriage Tours :
Coachman driven tours of Yeats country. State of the art hand-crafted wagonette, drawn by a pair of traditional Irish cobs. Carriage seats up to 8 adults.
- 1 hour Drumfad drive.
- 2 hour pub stop drive.
- Themed drives.

Isn't that just a little bit contradictory? I can personally vouch for the fact that you can find plenty of information on hotels, transport and venues etc for the European concerts with a bit of googling.carlowmike wrote: as I said I would love to go to some of the European Concerts but
I do not have enough data on hotels, transport, venue etc.
....
if the Concerts were in Dublin there would be no need for a help thread , as all facilities are so well documented
