Have just recently discovered Laura Marling and feel excited and enthused...the same thrill listening to LC gives. At parts there is a strong reminder of the human empathy of Leonard's music (and indeed even of Famous Blue Raincoat chord sequence) but she is of course her own self. A truly amazing young artist. Listen to 'Night After Night' from 'A Creature I Don't Know' a new album out on Sept 12th

Re: Laura Marling
I'm new to this forum and just did a search to see if anyone also loved Laura Marling's music. I agree that there are definitely similarities between her music and Leonard Cohen's, although as you say, she's a unique artist in her own right. I've seen her live a couple of times and she is incredible - quite shy and reserved, but her music and lyrics just draw you in.

I know that this is an old-ish thread but just wanted to pop in and say that there's another Marling fan here. Hi
