Mine was the original Anglo-Saxon rendition of a Scandinavian narrative, put to music sometime in the middle of the 7th century, called 'Beowulf.' (or was it the 10th century?)
I don't think it was Abba who sang it though :?
Gosh, the memories just come flooding back.............a bit like my lack of bladder control

On my birthday...

The Number 1 single was:
The Beatles with Billy Preston - "Get Back"

The Number 1 album was:
Bob Dylan - "Nashville Skyline"

And though the site mentioned Pete Townshend and Grace Jones as musicians born on my birthday, they forgot Joey Ramone!

Teratogen - snap we are birth twins I of course am slightly older.

My theory on Capricorns liking Leonard may be correct  They do say if you get 23 people in the same room two will share birthdays.

And I am going to see the Hollies on Saturday!!!!!!

Anne probably the reason you got the (alleged) paedophile and Grace Jones was because it is an English website so the names would have to be well known to the English and Joey Ramone is not well known over here.

The Number 1 single was:
Shirley Bassey - "As I Love You"

waztat? I was to young to know.

Lyrics

I will love you
As I love you All my life
Every moment spent with you
Makes me more content with you
Just as you are
You are all I could pray for
All that you are
That's what I wake up each day for
Every single
Touch and tingle
I adore
Every kiss from you to me
Always seems so new to me
Each one warmer
Than the one before
As I love you more and more and more

Every single
Touch and tingle
I adore
Every kiss from you to me
Always seems so new to me
Each one warmer
Than the one before
As I love you more and more And more

:? I guess they won't exchange the gifts
that you were meant to keep...

The Number 1 album was:
Original Soundtrack - "South Pacific" waztat again?

On 26th Apr 1953 ...

The Number 1 single was:
Frankie Laine - "I Believe"

The biggest-selling single of 1953.
The Number 1 album was:
Nothing! - "The album chart did not begin until the end of July 1956."

Born on 26th Apr:
1938 - Duane Eddy
1944 - Giorgio Moroder ( producer )
1960 - Roger Taylor ( drummer, Duran Duran / Arcadia )
1970 - Tionne Watkins ( aka T-Boz, vocalist, TLC )
1982 - Jonathan Lee ( vocalist, S Club 7 )

I wonder if that was the same "I Believe" as The Batchelors did in the 60's? That one I do remember.

Linmag ~ "I Believe for every drop of rain that falls........a flower grows...." ~ phenomenal song. I've always loved it. Beautifully done by Frankie Laine.

Laurie ~ I always loved yours, too ~ "Many a tear has to fa-a-a-ll ~ but it's a-a-a-a-ll ~ in the gaaaaaaaame."
