Juke Box Fury. £8.
Time – 16:00
Sunday.
Venue – Town Hall
Four of Britain’s greatest living writers on the subject of popular music are gathered under the same roof by Stoke Newington’s own music legend, Richard Boon, former manager of the Buzzcocks and now Stoke Newington librarian.
Richard asks Paul Morley, Charles Shaar Murray, Simon Reynolds and Lucy O’Brien each to play the track that made them want to write about music, and then discuss its influence. A must for any music fan...

Barney Hoskyns, music critic & editor of Rock's Backpages
It's at Stoke Newington Town Hall on Saturday 2nd June at 6pm (Richard is also hosting an indie music event on Sunday 3rd with a different line up that includes Paul Morley, Richard King (How Soon is Now) and some other pop-up guests.)
