Jackson Browne tour with two Cohen Band Members

Thought this was interesting for more than Jackson Browne alone. It's a month-long acoustic tour that kicks off July 14th in Charlotte, North Carolina.
It appears that two of Leonard Cohen's live band members are included in the tour.
The Old Ideas Tour starts Aug 12th in Ghent, Belgium so there would be no time to spare I would think. Maybe they are not current band members.

and two members of Leonard Cohen's live band.

They don't say who they are. I wonder if anyone knows which two?

That may explain why the Old Ideas troupe is in rehearsals now?

Bev - I had read this earlier and wondered if it in fact meant that the "two members of Leonard Cohen's live band" were actually doing the tour - or maybe just doing the two shows in Largo - that are described as a "preview of that trek" (the actual tour).

Hard to tell from the wording.

And - I don't know which two - but - apparently Senor Javier Mas is "in town" and I would suspect that he could be one. :)

The two on stage with Jackson Browne were Javier and Alex. Sharon mentioned this on Facebook. She was in the audience. Remember, Jackson Browne was part of the Spanish tribute concerts and so were Alex and Javier. I wouldn't think it is likely though that they would be touring with him.

I knew Jackson's previous history with Xavier and Alex and did consider they may be the ones but after checking Jackson's tour dates (they actually extend to Aug 15th so far) found there is a definite overlap in the dates. http://www.jrp-graphics.com/jb/jbconcerts.html

Arlene, I don't know how they schedule their practice dates.
Linda, maybe it is just those two shows in Largo. Both Javier and Alex are in town now.

Marie, thank you for the info.
Re-reading it again it makes sense that it does seem to be a one (two :) ) off gig.
On Thursday night in Los Angeles, the veteran rocker and the young folkie provided a preview of that trek in the first of two shows at Largo, where they spent nearly four hours rummaging through their deep catalogs with help from an expansive cast of high-profile pals, including Watkins' brother Sean, keyboardist Benmont Tench, bassists Rob Wasserman and Tal Wilkenfeld, singer Z Berg, guitarist Blake Mills, everyone in Dawes and two members of Leonard Cohen's live band.
Jackson is singing A Thousand Kisses Deep on his coming tour and that's the song he sang with both of them at the Acordes Spanish tribute for LC (as Marie says) and where I first discovered Alex was the violinist added to the Old Ideas Tour. That previous video was in 2006 and this one is the Acordes one in 2007.
Besides, it gives me a good excuse to post it again. I know you like it Arlene! Wonderful rendition. :D
