wouldn't it be great if one of the horses were to perform to a leonard song?

i read an interview in the london evening standard ES magazine with laura bechtolsheimer where she says, in regard to her horse, alf :

...Training playlist I have to train to music that works for Alf. He doesn’t like reggae or Elvis — he needs a rhythm he can work with — we won silver in the World Championships in 2010 to The Shadows’ song ‘Apache’...

Hi sebelmoth2003,

I've been to very few dressage events but did give this some thought. I suppose a slowed down version of part of "Closing Time" might work. Then again, maybe it wouldn't. Other than this slim possibility, I can't come up with anything else. For humans though, engaged in dressage or not, this cover of Leonard Cohen's "Ballad of the Absent Mare" is a good listening choice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCJPll_5lPc. :D

Hi,

Here's some non-Leonard Cohen music that might work nicely (and probably has) for dressage events:
