2012 Recordings

Up till now I haven't seen any recording of the 2012 tour on dime. That's an unpleasant surprise. Has anybody recorded one or more shows? And if so, are you planning to upload it to dime some day? Or any other torrent tracker side? I am definitely in need of another shot of LC 2012 live music . And I suspect I am not the only one. To give a new upload cyclus a boost I will start this week with uploading some older concerts to dime. Hope it helps

There are Amsterdam and Ghent recordings but there was no time to edit them as the fans who recorded it went on on other shows I heard... 4th night from Gent is offered here in forum: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=32650

Arturo aka "banalny" of dimeadozen.org fame died last year so since then LC recordings on the torrents are also dead more or less...

I hope that we will get Berlin show, now when the tour moves to cities which were usually recorded. Berlin shows in 2008-10 were all recorded by renowned tapers like tom-moore and german-rose so there's a hope for new Berlin tape.

Fear not, Rene. I recorded the first 3 Gent concerts (& I will be recording more in the months to come). My editing program was not behaving well, so I sent the recordings to a kind friend in Germany, who will edit them for us, & then he will send the edited versions back to me. I am leaving for Dublin on Sun., Sept. 9th, so I won't have the edited recordings till I get back (on the 14th). I am not a member of dimeadozen, & whenever I go there, the message is that they are fully booked & not accepting new members; so I won't be able to upload there, & I don't know what other torrents are good ones. Plus, I've never uploaded to torrents, so I would have to figure out how to do that, & I'm not sure I have the time/patience to deal with that. If anyone would like to upload the edited recordings for me, you can let me know & I can send them to you when I have them. I could also start a vine, if there are people who still prefer that instead of downloading. As has been said, other people have also recorded the concerts, so I think there will be multiple recordings of many concerts available later on (therefore, I 'm not sure if a vine is appropriate?).

Any suggestions as to the best way to go about sharing my recordings, are welcome.

Great news that you have recorded the Gent concerts. I would love to have a copy anyway possible. A vine is always fun as you always have something to look forward to.

That's very good news. I have an dime account and I know how to upload files to dime.So send me the editted recordings and I will take care of the uploading. In the mean time you or I can start a vine as well. In this way we can satisfy both the patient and the impatient people . Like I said in my previous message I will start with uploading older concerts to dime as well. I am willing to start vines for them as well. There is, however, a little problem with some of my recordings. The quality doesn't always comply to the norms Artur used to have. And I don't have his passion, capabilities and ambition to strive for perfection (in fact I am a lazy bastard living in a suit . I will send you a PM with my personal information so we can work out the details

Kevjamlew very kindly sent me a copy of the 4th concert in Ghent. I will be putting it into general circulation in the near future.I am suffering a major desktop and laptop failure at present and although an iPad is a wonderful design it cannot copy CDs.
I will hopefully be up and running soon after the Dublin concerts.

Hi,
I have taped all concerts I went to so far and will continue to do so for the rest of "my" tour. Not perfect since I'm using basic equipment and I haven't even had time to listen to any of my previous ones, so definitely haven't had time yet to edit them (not even one). I will pass my recordings on once I find some more time... (let's say: after Oct 7 )

The team who taped Burgenland 2010 (one of the most superb 2008-10 live recordings), and Zagreb and Ljubljana 2010 shows, is expected to tape Verona performance. Let's hope the forum members will not clap and talk too much around the member who will be wired! And that Italians will not follow their usual habit to chat, talk and quarrel during the concerts... Helsinki videos by irishMar are the best so far from this tour - Finish people do behave on the concerts, sitting quietly when the master sings.

A recording of the 4th Ghent show (17 August) is now available on Dime. Given the usual standard of the uploader's recordings I'd hazard a guess this will be a good one to have.
