On a different note, I was in Amsterdam couple of years ago and two things stood out for me : everyone spoke really really fluent English and everyone was so damn tall. It felt like being in the land of Giants, especially for this little Asian dude. It became quite a problem for me at the Jazz festival in Rotterdam trying to get a glimpse of the stage, never had such an issue with it in New Orleans.

p.s. In Amsterdam, there was also a street musician with long hair in downtown area in the middle of some sort of square singing LC's Hallelujah and there was quite a crowd gathered around him.
