This week I saw a preview of "Beware of Mr. Baker" at the Curzon Covent Garden (where I also saw "Bird On a Wire). It's an extraordinary film and totally riveting. This has to be the ultimate rock movie, even though Baker would prefer to be called a jazz musician rather than a rock star. The movie portrays Baker as a likeable rogue, whose story is both disastrous and heroic. Baker himself came onstage at the end of the screening to answer (or not!) the questions that some dared to ask. Here's a link to the trailer (copy and paste):
