of Leonard in 1979 reminded me of this wonderful British 'character' from the 1970s.
Character is almost certainly doing him an injustice. He was a brilliant musician and lyricist.

I really like Kevin Coyne's songs. He was totally unique...a complete one-off. I saw him live at the John Peel show in the early Seventies. and used to play "Marjorie Razor Blade" in a record store where I worked (hey, there's the Leonard connection!). Actually, I have probably undervalued Kevin's work, but I heard a compilation of his recently, and realized how good he was.
