Hi,
Here's a link to another song written and performed by Mary Gauthier, "Drag Queens In Limousines":
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPZ-rIpIPqw. It's a great song, rich with meaning and in
its musicality. This song has been an encouragement to some who have heard it.

Hi Steven, I'm so glad that I didn't click away from the first song before really giving it a chance. My first reaction - yuck/twang but by 1 1/2 minutes in I was hooked. Loved the Drag Queens in Limousines song as well, they whole idea of community and loving/caring for each other even when we're very different (beautiful losers).

Hi Cate,
Thanks for your reply and for giving the song a chance. I like your comment about community. Outsiders
have more of a need for the support that community can provide than do mainstreamers. High level
creative people are usually outsiders.
Hi Everyone,
Mary Gauthier's "Mercy Now" and Leonard Cohen's "If It Be Your Will," you may feel, probably have similar
emotional and spiritual origins. Here's a link to "Mercy Now":

You don't need me to link to "If It Be Your Will."
Mary Gauthier, for those that don't know, pronounces her last name as Go-Shay.
