I chose mine because penguins live in the southest part of my country and besides they are monogamous and mate for life. (a quality I appreciate)
I chose mine 'cos it's someone I used to know

I chose mine initially because of its artistic appeal, though I feel it also expresses the complexity I see within myself, as well as in life in the 21st century. The central eye is my perception or 'eye on the world' (both internal and external). Perhaps it also represents my one-eyed appreciation of LC!

The Future is not my favorite disc, but I like this cover; the bird getting away from the handcuffs and escaping. And here's a man still working for his wife smile. (for your smile in I Tried to Leave You NSFOC LC).
Wife has in Spanish (of Chile or Argentina, I think) the same meaning that handcuff, I don't know why.

I honestly was going to use the Future cover as an avatar until I saw yours. It was told to me by one who knows (yes, I have my secrets, too) the exact phraseology Leonard used to describe the meaning of this cover. I don't have time right now, but later on, when I come home, if you're still here, I will tell you the little story. If you don't already know it and if you want to hear it. I tend to ramble when I'm in a hurry. Same word for wife and handcuffs? That's not so strange, is it? Let us consider the "old ball and chain".

I chose my nickname because it I sometimes use Sophistikittenlin...I thought I would chop the three last letters because it is a pain to type out, haha.
Plus, there are so many damned Lindas here, haha.
Bride of Frankenstein avatar? It's clear I like old horror movies...but in all honesty, I found it around Halloween. Boo. One day I just might paste my ol' face there as an avatar.

Hi Linda SK:
There do seem to be a lot of Lindas on the board, don't you think? Even in offices, etc. I once worked in an office of 7 women, 5 of which had Linda or Lynne as either their first or middle name. I had to start using my middle name as my nom de travail, or else there would have been far too much confusion.
Same thing here. Before I registered, I watched the board for a couple of days and saw that there was at least one Linda, so I just added the lakeside tag because I live by a lake. Right beside one. That's it.
Linda.
