four seasons

fleeing the winter
the spring wave on summer beach
made us feel the fall

Thank you.

It was the first poem I wrote in 2005, on January 2nd, when I realized why so many people from northern countries fell victim to the Tsunami: they didn't accept the rhythm of the seasons at home.

Thanks again.

Geez, i never equated the meaning of your haiku to 'the tsunami.'

Given your explanation its meaning is quite grave.

Thanks for enlightening us.

Tom, your explanation does indeed change perspective on those lines. But this is not apparant without the exp. Depends on how you interpret "the fall" I guess.
For me I see the glassy surf break at an Aussie beach on a hot sunny day and even after your exp. that image still persists.
See how one's cultural condition shapes the perception? :D

Hi Witty,

depends on how you interpret "spring wave", I believe. ;)

I'm not saying my interpretation is the right one. It is, however, a possible one. :)

The original title was "Tsunami", btw. I changed it to give more room for different interpretations.

Cheers
