Hi Kush,
Enjoyed the song and the story that its lyrics tell. The song brings to mind
Harry Chapin's "The Mayor of Candor Lied" and, for a reason having nothing
to do with a taboo element, Billy Joe Shaver's "The Cowboy Who Started The
Fight." Not wanting to provide spoilers for anyone who may listen to the
songs for the first time, I won't say why.

Hi Steven,
Glad you enjoyed the song. Actually it was your posts that turned me onto Billy Joe Shaver's music although I figured out later I was already familiar with a handful of his songs via Waylon Jennings and Jerry Jeff Walker. In fact I believe I have mentioned before that I thought Waylon was covering Jerry Jeff Walker on Old Five and Dimers when in fact Jerry Jeff was in turn covering BJS.
I have heard The Mayor of Candor Lied but do not remember it clearly and have not heard the BJS song you mention - will check both out. Thanks
