You’re right to pay attention to this man. A world class singer and entertainer. It almost seems that his most famous songs are in English or have at least some English lines in them while the vast majority of his work is in French.
I have listened to him a lot on long journeys in the car to the south of France. Here is another one of his beautiful songs

Beautiful. "She" was on the airwaves several times each week throughout my childhood and that song feels like a thread in the fabric of early memories. Nice to hear the French songs. RIP.

RIP. His music - mainly in English, occasionally in French - has accompanied me on many a road trip and also helped pass the time when doing some tedious task.
