The morning horse

Post by lazariuk »

I wake so early before dawn that there is even time to think before I get out of bed. Here is something I thought about in that dark hour.

You can lead a horse to water
You can’t make him drink
As sure as there is a heaven
You will make him think

You can lead a mare to water
Never make her kneel
As sure as there is a heaven
She will make you feel
Everything being said to you is true; Imagine of what it is true.

It's 4 in the horse
we know you of course.

And Jack came
there with some oil in his hair

He said that
you can lead him to water
it doesn't mean
he'll love your daughter
(though obviously he might)

Her daughter might love me, seeing what I am trying to do for her mother and her daughter and the colour of my scarf.
Thanks for making me consider that.

I'm very sorry to read of the horse's bereavement and hope both you and she can find the consolation which you seek, need, and deserve

Is that the words you learned in your bereavement counselling training? Sounds pretty hollow. If you are trying to be funny maybe pick something other than someone’s pain, suffering and death to make jokes about. If your intention was for me to cry. You were successful.

you say "is that" but perhaps you meant "are those" ?

I don't want anyone to cry, and that even includes you.

when I have the chance I will read what you said for its substance not just its form. I think of this place as a writing forum, (for a few, a painting forum as well) but obviously it has another role as well.

I'm sorry, if i hurt your feelings

Thank you for the correction of my language use. I always appreciate such help and you are certainly skilled. I don’t think that my feelings were hurt. The feeling was that I was crying for you.
I don’t know why I associate you using the name Bob, but it has happened again and once more it leads me to consider how much I like a specific song. This time it is “My wife’s home town”
