No great surprise to see both Leonard Cohen and Lou Reed feature in her reminiscences:

Re: Suzanne Vega's teenage obsessions
Anne & I saw Suzanne last year at one of our favorite venues, the Stoughton Opera House which seats roughly 500 people and is in a small town about 7 miles from where we live.
She told a very funny story about being a councilor at a youth camp up in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania I believe. She was a teenager and had a teenage crush on another somewhat older councilor. While they were walking he asked her, "Do you like Leonard Cohen?" And she gushed out, "Yes!" and then thought that was a little too enthusiastic so she added, "When I'm in a certain mood."
I'm glad to learn that they met and that he admired her work as well.

Suzanne Vega opened for Leonard at Wetbridge.
