Not quite the Johnnie Walker wisdom

A classic whisky. A Leonard Cohen autograph. Generosity of spirit…Yes, now that that particular Scotch (Fine Oak 10 Years Old) has been discontinued (since about 2006, I believe), it fetches much larger prices. But back when it was still being made (which was presumably when Leonard purchased it), it was near the bottom end of their product line (as is most 10-year old Scotch) -- perhaps around £75 quid in today's prices (probably comparable to the currently produced The Macallan 12 Year Old Sherry Oak -- Macallan no longer sells a 10-year old Scotch). Still not cheap, of course, compared to other beverages, but for Scotch, not so much (The Macallan 18 Year Old Sherry Oak is £3750 !).
