One of my favourite musicians these days is Nathaniel Rateliff. He is touring with his band this year but is also doing a few solo concerts. "Nathaniel Rateliff presents a night of Leonard Cohen" with the Colorado Symphony in Denver on April 5 & 6th (2024) and in Toronto with a 40 piece ensemble at the Roy Thomson Hall on April 20th. He is also performing in Montreal April 22nd at Salle Wilfrid-Pelleier. Hoping he will come to other cities as well.

No recording link for this, but I was lucky enough to witness Nathaniel covering Leonard's "Chelsea Hotel #2" sung as a tribute to Leonard's recent passing. This took place in the Colston Hall (now Bristol Beacon) Bristol, UK on 19th November 2016. I believe he performed it at a few venues around the same time. Looking forward to hearing any recordings from these concerts.

I saw Nathaniel cover the song at De Montfort Hall, Leicester on 17 November 2016. I wasn’t expecting it and it hit me like a train. I cried for Leonard for the first time.

I really wish he was performing the LC shows on his UK tour. Maybe next time …
