Looking for a clean audio file of “Save the Last Dance for Me” (Ghent 2009)

Post by Olanna »

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum and reaching out with a request.

In 2009, my mum, dad and I attended Leonard Cohen’s concert in Ghent, and again in 2013 in Rotterdam. These concerts meant a great deal to us.

My father is now in the final stage of his life. After the concert in Ghent, he told my mum that he would love to have Leonard Cohen’s version of Save the Last Dance for Me played at his funeral, as their relationship began about 50 years ago with a dance.

I’ve been able to find recordings of the performance, but not as a separate audio file, and most have a lot of audience noise and cheering in the background.

Would anyone here be able to help me:

Find a clean audio file of Leonard Cohen’s performance of Save the Last Dance for Me (preferably from Ghent 2009), and/or
Suggest ways to reduce the background noise and bring the music and voice more to the front?

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Love, Olanna

It's not too hard to reduce the noise in an audience recording but you should just use the released version from Live In Dublin.
