You can read the unpublished manuscript _Ballet of Lepers_ along with several other unpublished short stories at the Thomas Fisher Rare Books Library at University of Toronto. They hold the official Cohen archives, 23 boxes deep. I finally got to read the novel a few months ago.

How did you got the manuscripts? The library's site says you need the permission from Leonard Cohen's office to access the boxes.

To publish materials from the collection, one needs authorization from his management, but the materials themselves are viewable/readable, aside from box 13 which is sealed until his death (apparently comprised of personal letters).
