Meet-up South Wales 21st Sept 2005

Post by Diane »

Wednesday 21st September 2005, Bridgend, South Wales

at The Railway, 7pm

Excuse me for barging in here and trying to arrange a meetup when you don't know me, but Wendy, Rob and John the Shorts have all indicated they should be able to make this date so I guess we're on!

Is there anyone else within travelling distance who'd be able to make it?

I've barely met another LC fan in my life. And now I may well meet at least three at once

I'm really looking foward to meeting you three and whoever else may be able to come.

Best Wishes,

Diane

I'd love to meet you Diane and see again Wendy, John and Rob, but mid-week is awkward with work commitments and travel . :( Hope to meet up sometime in the future.

Hi Margaret. I believe I have seen a picture of your garden with some of the faces from here within :D. Week days are awkward when travelling a distance, sure. Some other time, then.

Good wishes,

Diane

Hi Ali :D

No agenda, just an informal gathering. I hope you still feel it worthwhile coming along though, it would be great to meet you.

All the best,

Hi Diane

I will be away for 2 weeks as from tomorrow, I will be back on the 19th so I should be ok for the 21st. The railway I take it is a pub :) can you let me have directions from the railway station I'm hoping its right near there as the name suggests although thats no guarantee I know.
Hi Margaret hope you and John are well.
Ali hope to see you there.

Although it's not very far from Gloucester, midweek is difficult for me, especially as my daughter will be leaving for college the following weekend and I will no doubt be up to my neck in last minute preparations. I hope you have a good evening.

I can't get to Bridgend that night, but have already booked for Berlin. I think Rob may be going to Berlin too.

Hi Wendy,

Oh, yes, I see the ambiguity of the suggested venue  . The raliway station might be a tad chilly at the end of September, and anyway, I don't think they serve beer there. The Railway pub on the other hand, is less than a minute's walk from Bridgend railway station. Turn right out of the station, walk to the bottom of the hill, and you will find it on the right, on the corner of Station Hill and Derwen Road.

Ali, I have no plans to go to Berlin at the moment.

Best Wishes,

Diane

Hi Diane, and everyone else.
Does the Railway have tequila? If so, I'll bring the lemons and cranberry juice.
Rob.

Hi Rob,

What a great idea, toasting Leonard's birthday with a red needle 8) . I imagine they do sell tequila. I'll check this coming weekend and let you know for sure. Hmmm, you've got me wondering what I can bring along...

Shame it isn't an 'open mic' venue or I could have made my Husband bring his guitar and do a birthday tribute of Hallelujah
