Overall, the event went well, though there were a couple of minor disappointments. There was a bigger crowd at Saturday night's event than last year, but I felt we didn't quite hit the high point we experienced last year! However, three things that made it
very rewarding for me this time around, were: the visit by Kelsey Munro (who has run three Cohen covers gigs at the Hopetoun Hotel in Sydney)

; an 18 year old guy at the DVD/video session (who was such a fan that he couldn't think of anything better than watching films/docos about Cohen for an afternoon)

; and the mobile phone call from Paul Galvin in NZ during our lunchtime session on Sunday

(because he was hoping to come to our event, but was sadly unable to).
It was a pity that Richard & Donna (from Newcastle) couldn't make it this year

, as Richard has been a staunch supporter of our event over the past few years, as well as furnishing me with lots of Cohen audio-visual goodies!
I was also dismayed that Ania (from Melbourne), who was well on her way here, had to pull out of the trip due to circumstances entirely out of her control.
I will try to complete my full report (with photos) for the LC Files as soon as possible.
Cheers
Andrew (Darby)
