The lawsuits and the absence of funds have prompted Cohen to start working again. He plans to tour for the first time in 12 years, he has a new book of poetry due next year, he hopes to record an album this autumn, and a new album recorded with his wife is due for release.

Has The Guardian scooped the Files?

I noted the mention, too. However, it was not a direct quotation but something written by the editor of The Guardian...

Maybe the journalist was too conservative to conceive the union of a man and woman out of marriage?

Maybe Cohen married because she finally found him (30some years later)?

I think tehy simply mistaked the word "partner" - lately usually used when it comes to Anjani and Leonard - with wife, maybe for reasons Tchoco pointed

(I'm not sure what it is exactly I'm supposed to be saved from.)

However, it is very possible that Leonard has succumbed to the last cliche...the roue who marries in his old age.

I doubt he's married. My guess is that the writer of the article took something out of context. This is why things should be corroborated before they're published or relied upon.
