Would you recommend the Richard Thompson performance? I have nothing at all by him and might buy the CD.
I have the CD releases for Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Steve Earle, Susan Tedeschi and John Hiatt. I also have the DVD for Tedeschi which was a little bit of a disappointment. She is a very expressive blues/soul singer but not such an expressive performer i thought.
Going by the preview of the John Hiatt DVD here I'll probably get that one. If you like Springsteen you'll like this Hiatt CD/DVD.

Wasn't there a rumour that Leonard's DVD was dropped (due to copyrights issues with Sony?).

As far as I know, Sony (as owner of the rights to the songs) and the ACL foundation should first conclude an agreement, but probably it has not been made.

I've read (can't recall where, sorry) that ACL really wants to release Cohen on DVD and it's more of a matter of when rather than if.

If you go to the ACL webpage theres an email, just email them and they will get back to you quickly. I asked about another person's performance and they gave me a good answer.
