UK mag 'The Word' No 53, (July issue) carries a very good article & interview with pics both old & new (5 pages in total): Leonard on Cover.
Mark Ellen (editor) interviewed Leonard about the art of songwriting, following Anjani promo concert in London recently. An excellent interview by a writer who has some knowledge of Leonard's work!
Some quotes: Leonard-"Music is that enterprise that stops our mind from spinning. It confers significance on this bewildering reality we live in."
"Life moves us out of centre stage, defeats the hero, overturns the plot and we're left on the sidelines wondering why we no longer have a part in the whole damn thing."
Also comments on 'Hallelujah' from Bono, Rufus Wainwright and KD Lang.

Re: The WORD magazine:'The Spin Doctor'
This has been asked me several times, so it might be a good idea to give some guidance also here on the forum!I tried, but don't know how to do it!
To show a photo here one must know the exact URL of the photo (it has to be online, somewhere).
Then write the complete address starting with http:..., and after doing it, add after the address
(don't leave any spaces; you may easily insert the img-pointers by choosing the link with your mouse and then by clicking on the Img-button!
Here is an example:
I uploaded the photo to the domain The Files uses, then linked my message to the pic URL (I'm writing it now incorrectly - htp instead of http - here, to show the text; with a correct address you would only see the photo and not the link!)

I could have added the photo also directly from the webpage of the Word magazine, but then you have to find the complete URL first
(to do that you have to see the source code by clicking "view source" with the right hand button of your mouse while the pointer is on the page in question!)
The original URL is: (again I write it incorrectly to show just the text:

Re: The WORD magazine:'The Spin Doctor'
I have finally learned that with this new forum software it is now also possible to attach photos to
the messages from your own computer! When writing a message, find the
"upload attachment" button at the bottom, click on it and just specify the name of the
photo and its location in your computer!

And here is Leonard in the spiritual catbird's seat--right next to the guru. Funny how that always works out.
