P.S. You all know about Henning & Elke's visit to our event this year, but you Berlin Eventers (and others who know her work) will be pleased to note that Ann Vriend is also doing a concert for us!

Wow. Henning will be at the event and Ann Vriend too? That's great.
O the gatherings...the get-togethers...the good times. Seems like it's one event after another this year.
It's just wonderful.
At least I can live vicariously through all the posts to the Forum and pics and updates.
I'm off to my own version of "the outback" in about a week. There is no one there to share my love of all things Leonard, so I hope I can get back on-line soon.
Thanks Andrew, it sounds good, international guests, wow.
The hitch for me is it's right at the start of the Victorian school holidays and I am already locked into a big family holiday in Noosa. We fly up late Saturday for a 10 day stay. Will it be worth a Noosa - Toowoomba round trip for one day? Will my family think I am mad?

Dick and Dar, I wished you would be on my side there. It's my first stop down under and I don't trust them. They have this strange accent and I don't know what it is good for. I feel very insecure about this trip. The fact that I'll be singing is just to distract myself from my fears.
Henning, I can guarantee we will treat you gently (apart from forcing you to drink our beer) and we'll ensure your protection against any wild colonial boys (or girls)...we can even give you ear plugs for the accent protection - for when you're off stage, at least!
Cheers
Andrew (Darby)

Hi Andrew
We fly into Sunshine Coast, so Saturday night is just not possible . Maybe all the welcoming Australians will love Henning so much he will be forced to do an encore? Anyway, I have a few weeks to work out a plan and soften up the right people so leave it with me.
Dear Henning
Be prepared, many come to this great southern land and never want to leave again .

Ah, you took my question literally, as I knew you would, but when I was catching up on the poetry discussions elsewhere on the board I remembered something I read of Milosz - "The purpose of poetry is to remind us / How difficult it is to remain just one person".
